The Associated Talmud Torahs is proud to announce that through its Department of Government Programs we have secured $1,000,000 in Federal aid (Title 1) for our day school students who need math and reading remediation.
What does this mean practically speaking for your schools?
These dollars fund services for eligible Title 1 students who live in Chicago and attend ATT schools.
Eligible Title 1 students receive remediation services in their schools in math and reading. School principals are in touch with Catapult Learning regarding identifying these students and creating the appropriate tutorial programs at their schools. Eligible Title 1 students are entitled to academic counseling. ELAN has been the vendor to provide this counseling. Contact Bryna Towb for details.
Title 1 teachers and teachers who come in contact with Title 1 students are entitled to professional development. For more information on how to create professional development programs for Title 1 teachers, please contact Bryna Towb at ELAN or Chani Friedman at the ATT.
