ATT Annual Meeting

On May 21, 2009, close to 300 people attended the ATT Annual Meeting where they were welcomed by Mr. Vern Gideon. The agenda included a President’s Greeting given by Mr. Joseph Abramchik, a nominations report given by Mrs. Leah Polin, a financial report given by Mr. Earl Miller. Rabbi Harvey A. Well gave a superintendent’s report and then proudly made presentations with ATT board members’ help in various categories. These categories included: Teacher’s License, Teacher Achievement Award, Lay Leadership Award, Special Principal Recognition Award, Israel Scholarships, Fiedler Family Scholarship, Melvin I. & Marilyn Eisenberg Endowment Fund and Asher Essay Contest. A special recognition was given to the Fiedler Family who for many years has donated generously to the ATT.

A new presentation made this year was the E.P.I.C. Participation Certificate. This was a collaborative effort among AFTA (Association for Torah Advancement), National-Louis University and the ATT. The recipients of this certificate are ATT teachers who were mentored during the 2008-2009 school year by National-Louis University to enhance their teaching skills. Arie Crown Hebrew Day School, Cheder Lubavitch, Yeshiva Shearis Yisroel, Yeshivas Tiferes Tzvi, Joan Dachs Bais Yaakov participated in this program.

The crowd was very enthusiastic as everyone received their awards. All enjoyed the evening and left with smiles on their faces.
