The Rabbi Julius Weisbach Summer Program
The
ATT's Rabbi Julius Weisbach Summer Program of the Arthur H. and Alice
Barbakoff Department of Teacher Education and Development took place on
June 22-June 23. The theme for this year's summer program was All Learners Can Learn and was for all Judaic and general studies teachers and administrators.
Monday's session June 22nd, Understanding Learning and Learners, was an exploration of the "All Kinds of Minds" approach to enhance student
success and achievement by meeting the needs of diverse learners.
Featured speakers were Rabbi Shmuel Schwarzmer, a school psychologist as
well as an education consultant of the Los Angeles Unified School
District and Mrs. Bryna Towb, director of ELAN Educational Center.
Tuesday's session, June 23rd, Preparing the Way: Using Our Senses to Help Create Learning Pathways for Challenging Students, was presented by Jon-Paul Champine, Psy.D, a clinical psychologist and associate professor at DePaul University.
