Hartman Family Foundation Educator of the Year Awards 2012The Hartman Family Foundation Educator of the Year Awards Begins Its Third Round!
The Associated Talmud Torahs of Chicago is proud to announce the acceptance of nominations for the third year of the Hartman Family Foundation Educator of the Year Awards. This award recognizes outstanding educators in the ATT system. At the ATT’s Annual Banquet one award of $15,000 and two awards of $5,000 will be presented to outstanding educators. The awards are designed to recognize excellence in teaching, dedication, commitment to lifelong learning, and creativity. It seeks to honor and thank all educators in the Chicago community. An impartial panel consisting of educational consultants and community members will evaluate each nomination. Teachers submit responses to a questionnaire with information about their teaching beliefs and practices, ongoing education and commitment to the success of all students. The finalists are observed teaching in their classrooms. The winners will be announced in the Fall of 2012. Last year's Hartman awardees were; Mr. Scott Salk of Akiba-Schechter Jewish Day School, Mrs. Ruth Becker of Joan Dachs Bais Yaakov Elementary School, and Mrs. Gayle Kopin of Hillel Torah North Suburban Day School. Nomination forms are available at the ATT office or online at www.att.org between February 29, 2012, and May 18, 2012.
