2018 Tisha B'Av Program
The ATT’s Kirsche Department of Holocaust Studies invites the community to a meaningful Tisha B’Av program (for adults and children ages 16+) at the Illinois Holocaust Museum, 9603 Woods Drive, Skokie, on Sunday, July 22nd from 1:30 - 5:00 (Museum doors close at 4:00; Mincha at 4:15). Program includes Reflections from the Second Generation, a guided exploration of the European Jewish Refugee Experience from 1933-1941, main exhibit tour (for tour times, visit Read More). Note: Last tour starts at 3:15. NEW THIS YEAR! Hear, See, and Ask Survivor Story in the Museum’s new holographic theater. First presentation at 1:30 pm; second presentation at 2:10 pm. Complimentary program. No pre-registration.
ATT's 88th Annual Gala
Join the excitement on Sunday, November 19th, at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare as ATT celebrates Striking a Chord in Education at its 88th Banquet when Mrs. Susan Feuer, past director of the Dr. Oscar A. & Bernice Novick PTACH Program and current administrator of REACH Student Services with the Barney Goldberg Paragon Education Award, and the winners of the Eighth Annual Hartman Family Foundation Educator of the Year Awards, Ms. Stacy Daybook (Arie Crown Hebrew Day School); Mrs. Alise Gold (Akiba-Schechter Jewish Day School); and Rabbi Yoel Rosenberg (Yeshivas Tiferes Tzvi) will be recognized for their outstanding commitment to enhancing our children’s education. Please come for the festivities beginning with a Buffet Dinner at 5 pm, followed by the Awards Ceremony at 6:15 pm, and concluding with Shlomo Katz in Concert, sponsored in memory of Evan Goldberg Maling, and Dessert.
2019 ATT Citywide Torah Bowl Continues with Game Day!
Nearly 200 students in grades 5 – 8 participated in the 2019 ATT Citywide Torah Bowl Written Test Day sponsored by the Bassman Family Foundation this past Sunday. The ATT extends a hearty Yasher Koach to them & recognizes their effort & commitment preparing for the day. The Torah Bowl Girls and Boys programs continue this Sunday, March 24th, with Game Day, where 32 girls and 32 boys will compete in a fast-paced quiz tournament followed by a Chinese Auction.

PTACH's Melava Malka on February 14, 2015 Was a Huge Success
The ATT and PTACH thank the more than 200 people who attended the PTACH 2015 Essence Café this past Motzei Shabbos. They were treated to a beautiful evening. They were inspired by Shari Furnstahl’s personal story and message about people who learn differently and the success they can achieve. Mazel Tov to Mrs. Esther Pomerantz (JDBY), Mrs. Tziporah Safirstein (ACHDS), and Mrs. Yonina Yovits (ACHDS) who received the PTACH Inclusion Teacher of the Year Award. Thank you to all the volunteers who made the evening so successful.
2nd Midwest Holocaust Symposium – Update
ATT thanks the over 400 people who attended this week’s Second Midwest Holocaust Symposium at the Illinois Holocaust Museum commemorating the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the concentration camps. HaRav Yisroel Meir Lau’s important message was both meaningful and inspirational. Special recognition goes to Mr. Rudolph Tessler and Mr. Robert Hartman for the program’s vision and to the Hartman Family Foundation for its generous sponsorship of the program.
ATT Offers Special Presentation to Teachers on Retirement Planning
On Monday, February 18, 2019 following the Teachers Conference Day program, ATT offered a presentation to teachers on retirement planning. Experts in the investing and retirement fields discussed steps that teachers can take to achieve their long-term financial goals. Topics included: 1. Establishing retirement goals 2. Understanding investment options 3. How to navigate investments in the current volatile market.
