The ATT Nathan and Shirley Rothner Summer Program has made the decision that it won’t be running the traditional in-person program that was so successful for so many years. It is with a degree of sadness that we make the decision, but it isn’t possible to commit to summer staff, collect fees and prepare the building in a timely and organized fashion when we have real uncertainty about the health restrictions. Moreover, there is a possibility that we would open and then have to shut down shortly thereafter if a camper or staff member contracts COVID-19.
The ATT is committed to Chicago’s school community and will be surveying parents about your interest in a virtual program for the summer break. It would offer a wide breadth of interesting and engaging subjects and also provide Limud Torah and Tefilla. Your responses will help us understand the needs and interests of students K-8 and inform our planning process as we continue to look for the best possible programming that is safe and realistic. Please help us by responding to the survey when you receive it in the coming week.
